The summer ended with a bang once again as we fired up the grill and shared some food, laughs and a couple of sweet dance moves with our friends and families. This year we even had a special visitor to our BBQ to help commemmorate Canada's 150th birthday.
This was a first for us at Cairns, but it will definitely not be the last. It really is amazing how much fun bubbles can be. The children were slipping, sliding and diving into a pit filled with bubbles. One thing that I'm sure all of the kids will take away from this experience besides how much fun they had...soap does not taste good.
Everyone's favorite field trip lived up to the hype again this year as we headed to Tinkertown for our final field trip. I feel like the staff had just as much (if not more) fun than the kids.
Miss Ashley spent the entire summer planning this event for the children, all the way from dividing the teams into different countries to making medals out of clay for each of the participants. The children raced, jumped and smashed their way into a terrific afternoon.
