Luck of the Irish

Thanks to Mr. David and his "Winnipeg Rocks" rocks, our kids have been scouring the playground for the last few weeks hunting for painted rocks.

Because St. Patty's Day was right around the corner, we planned for a fun filled St. Patrick's Day themed Inservice Day this past Friday consisting of rainbows, shamrocks and even a visit from a little green leprechaun which sent our Kinders running around the Theatre in search of gold coins.

Literacy and Play

At about the same time every year, our Kinders start to become more interested in letters, words and reading and this year is no exception.

Some children are beginning their literacy journey with the basics of letter and sound recognition while some have worked their way up to reading and writing words.

Either way we have encouraged our children's interest with a variety of literacy based activities.
