Where to begin!

Boy oh boy, we have been up to so much with the Before and After school program. Here is an update of a few activities that we've done lately.

We put out a few frames, popsicle sticks, buttons and other loose parts for the children to create their own pictures with, here are a couple of the creations.

The After school children planned a scavenger hunt as one of the activities which included popping balloons, going through a maze, doing the cup song and putting together riddles.

We noticed the Before school children had a interest in fidget spinners, instead of using play sticks and cubes we tried making spinners out of CD's and marbles.

Does your boat float? The children tried making boats from many things such as, popsicle sticks, wax paper, tinfoil, and skewers. We tested our boats by putting them in a bin of water and creating waves.

Another loose parts activity we did was use yarn and thumbtacks to create whatever the children wanted, it is harder than it looks!

Lego maze was a huge success with these boys! We put out lego and marbles and they made their own mazes.

Dandelion flowers were the perfect sensory activity for the children by being able to dip their fingers into the paint. They turned out really good, and the children had a blast.

We have been keeping busy, and can't wait to continue. Be sure to keep checking our blog to stay updated!
