Some of our Grade 5 children were feeling curious today and stumbled upon a "rock" on Ms. Lindsay's desk. Turns out that the rock was actually a geode...and what do you do with a geode?
You smash it!

After our experiment, we asked the children what they learned from this experience.
"We learned that Ms. Kym and Ms. Lindsay love us." - Addison
"I learned that if I'm curious, I might get to smash stuff." - Ellie
